Update on the status of the Boyhood Home of Sinclair Lewis and his Legacy in Sauk Centre
With all of the structural updates completed over the past few years, the Sinclair Lewis Foundation has made the decision to move forward with the transfer of the Boyhood Home to the Sauk Centre Area History Museum & Research Center. They will operate the Boyhood Home and offer tours as was done in the past with some minor changes to the day of the week that they will be open. Summer hours will be Friday & Saturday 10 am to 3 pm and other times by appointment. BUILT IN 1889, the Sinclair Lewis Boyhood home is where Sinclair Lewis spent his formative years in Sauk Centre. The home, a National Historical Landmark, is wonderfully preserved and open from Memorial Day to Labor Day. This is a popular tourist attraction and is a must see if you are in the Sauk Centre area.
